In 1987 Piet Stockmans established the Studio Pieter Stockmans to underline his personal activities. His studio is specialised in handicraft products who are made in small series and also unique art works. For over 10 years he works together with his daughter .

To develop new products Piet Stockmans starts from the raw material, porcelain. He has specialized in making very thin, transparent products. Herewith he becomes a unique result.
With products who are unglazed at the outside, the user has direct contact with the material porcelain. Together with his daughter he explores the limits of the material porcelain.

The porcelain is produced according to traditional methods in his own studio in little series under the brand Pieter Stockmans Belgium. His daughter Widukind and her husband Frank Claesen joined the business.
Their designs are in the same line and are also produced under the same brand.
